Your humble host here to officially welcome you to the debut of the new Roxie 77 album "Two Sides to Every Story".....
After we finished making this last album, I knew that the 'work' (I don't think I can actually say that being able to write and record songs that come from the heart is really 'work'....more like 'therapy'), but anyway, I knew that the task was far from over...because it is my wish (no... my mission!) to have as many people in this world sit down and experience this 'record' just like the way I used to when I was growing up.... which was either:
A) Sitting alone in my bedroom with my oversized 70's headphones on, eyes glued to the album jacket and reading along with the lyrics that were printed alongside the pictures and artwork....or
B) Hangin' out with all my friends and having my favorite band's (9 times out of 10, it was Cheap Trick) music blasting out of our living room's oversized Hi-Fi Stereo....screw the neighbors! Louder! LOUDER!
Now it being 2009, I'm fully aware that your oversized yellow foam-padded headphones have long since short-circuited and that for convenience sake, you (like me), have traded in your "hi-fi" in for some sort of gadget that fits your entire record collection in the palm of your hand....but FOLKS, being that this album was MADE ol-skool, it's meant to be ENJOYED ol-skool as well!
That's why (with the help of bandcamp.com), we think we have stumbled across a medium where you can use all the advantages of this thing the kids are calling "the internet", yet still have that unique "experience" between your soul and our music.

PS. The truly unique thing about "Two Sides to Every Story" is that you will actually get to experience TWO versions of each song released simultaneously in both ELECTRIC and ACOUSTIC formats. Same song, but different keys, different approach, and different feelings....genius, we know...has anyone else every done anything like this before? Maybe... but hey, let us live in our ignorant bliss...! And besides....we have "rules".....
Roxie 77's Official "Three Rules of Engagement"-
1.Go to our main music page and sit down with a coffee (hey! Smell the Coffee even!), or perhaps a nice Vodka-Cranberry and listen to our 'work' streamed at a hi bit rate (don't ask me what that means either) through the awesome sounding, easy-to-use music player (just press "play") and read along with the lyrics, pictures and credits that are conveniently placed on the same page. If you'd like to follow the links to our youtube channel, then you can also view exclusive 'behind the scenes' and 'making of' videos that will be sure to satisfy your curious mind.
2. If you "really" like us...by ALL means download a "conscience-free download" , or C.F.D., of whatever "Song of the Week" is offered, so you can put it on your cell phone, ipod, etc..., so you too (not U2!) can start turning the masses into believers.
"Songs of the Week" will be added or rotated every 7th day (get it?!), so if you keep coming back every week you can eventually download the entire album (all 24 tracks!) absolutely free....we'll even start the first week off with a few "Songs of the Week" tracks...that should get you started. BUT... if you just HAVE to have ALL the currently available tracks right away, there is always option #3.....which is......(read on).
NOTE: As new tracks will be added each week, if you choose the "album download" option, it will contain only the currently posted tracks at the time you download. So for example: if 12 tracks are listed, you'll receive those twelve...no more, no less. As the campaign continues and the amount of available songs increases, so will the price. But do know that you will never have to spend more then $7.70 for an entire Roxie77 album offered on the Bandcamp site...half of which will go to charity...so it's a win-win-win situation...you, us, and them!
3. If you "really, really, really" like us, then join us in our "splitting the profits", or S.T.P. campaign where we actually "split" whatever you contribute with one of the incredible charities that we work with. At the end of the day, we are just a small humble rock n' roll band from the tiny country of Sweden, but with YOUR help we can become the pompous, arrogant, and bloated rock stars that dwell deep inside each and every one of us!...Ha!....remember, there is always "Two Sides to Every Story"....We choose the 'bright' side....
